Charging through a case

Wireless charging works across a small gap and gets worse quickly as that gap grows. Everything a case adds between the coil in the phone and the coil in the charger is a cost, and the magnets that hold a MagSafe accessory in place are another. These pieces explain what is actually happening across those few millimetres.
