One phone, on purpose

Most case shops sell for every phone. That decision costs them the product.

A shop that sells cases for forty phones has to organise itself around the question "which phone do you have". It goes in the header, in every filter, in every product title, and in nine pages of pagination for a single model. The customer spends her first three clicks telling the shop something it could not otherwise know, and the shop spends its design budget on a dropdown.

We sell for the iPhone Duo. That is the whole catalogue. It means there is no phone selector on this site, there never will be one, and the space it would have taken is spent on the things that actually decide a purchase: what the print is, what it is made of, and whether the case understands that the phone folds in half.

What a folding phone changes

A case for a rigid phone is one moulded tray. A case for the iPhone Duois two parts that snap on separately and move with their own half. Nothing can bridge the hinge, both parts have to be the same thickness or the phone wedges open, and the cover screen has to stay usable. Those are not features, they are constraints, and they are the reason a case designed for another phone cannot be adapted.

It is also why every print here is laid out per half rather than tiled across the back. The fold is part of the composition. The fit page goes through it properly.

What we will not do

  • Quote a thickness before a production sample has been measured.
  • Publish a review that did not come from somebody who bought the case.
  • Run a countdown that resets when the page reloads.
  • Add a second phone.

This shop is not open yet. The catalogue on this site is a working set of designs, the prices are placeholders, and nothing can be bought. When that changes it will change visibly.
